Will my dog forget me?

Is the training guaranteed?

Every dog and every home is different, so no specific outcome is guaranteed - but your dog leaves trained to your program's standards, and you leave knowing how to keep it that way. That's exactly why multiple Go-Home Lessons and a yearly Lifetime Refresher are included.

Question 3

Why is the 2 Week program limited to dogs without major issues?

Two weeks builds a foundation. Established problem behaviors take longer to change - that is what the 4 and 6 Week programs are for.

Can I extend the program?

Yes, if space allows. Extensions are billed at the weekly rate.

Can I visit my dog during the program?

Accepted Answer

Visits are not scheduled during the program - they reset the dog's routine and slow progress. You get daily updates for the first 3 days and a written update with photos and video every week, more often if you ask.

Do I have to use a prong or e-collar?

Accepted Answer

No. Tools are a last resort, and nothing is put on your dog until we have discussed it and you have agreed. Even in the programs where the e-collar is included, whether it is used is your decision - if you decline, we train without it and you keep the collar.

Question 7

Where does my dog sleep?

In Justin's home, on his household routine - not in a kennel. At night your dog crates after the last training session, around 8:00 PM.

What if my dog gets sick?

If your dog needs veterinary care, Justin makes reasonable efforts to contact you first. In an emergency, you authorize him to get treatment and agree to reimburse the vet costs. Every dog must arrive current on Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella vaccinations and free of contagious illness.

What if I need to reschedule or cancel?

You can reschedule your start date once with at least 7 days' notice. Cancel with less notice than that and the deposit is forfeited. Picking your dog up early does not entitle you to a refund of unused days.

Question 10

What if I'm late for pickup?

Accepted Answer

Dogs not picked up on the scheduled date are boarded at $50 per day until picked up.

Question 11

Do you take females in heat?

Accepted Answer

No. A female in heat cannot be boarded during her cycle - please reschedule.

Question 12

What must I disclose?

Accepted Answer

Any history of aggression, biting, resource guarding, separation anxiety, or escape behavior. Undisclosed behavior that makes your dog unsafe to board can end the program early without a refund.

Question 13

Will you use photos of my dog?

Accepted Answer

Only if you say so. Media use is a checkbox on the Board & Train Agreement: you choose whether photos and video of your dog can be used for educational and promotional purposes.

Question 14

What happens if I miss a Go-Home Lesson?

Accepted Answer

A lesson missed without 24 hours’ notice is forfeited. All included Go-Home Lessons must be used within 90 days of pickup, and they are scheduled at the trainer’s availability.
