What Happens in a Free Behavior Evaluation
Every training journey here begins with a free one-hour behavior evaluation, and it is required before signing up for lessons. It is not a sales appointment. It is the thing that makes the plan worth anything.
Why we will not skip it
Two dogs can present the same behavior for completely different reasons. A dog who lunges at other dogs out of fear needs the opposite handling to a dog doing it out of frustrated excitement. Prescribing a program from a phone description would be guesswork.
What we look at
We want to see your dog behaving normally, so the evaluation happens where they live. We will look at how they greet, how they settle, how they respond to you, and what they do when something unexpected happens.
We will ask about history, daily routine, exercise, feeding, where they sleep, and what a bad day looks like. The specifics matter: not just "he pulls" but where, when, past what, and what you have already tried.
What you leave with
A clear read on what is going on, an honest opinion on what can realistically change, and a recommendation for which program fits. Sometimes that recommendation is that you do not need a full program at all, and a handful of handling changes will do it.
How to prepare
You do not need to. Do not tire your dog out beforehand or manage them into being on best behavior. We would much rather see the real thing, including the parts you find embarrassing. That is the whole point of the hour.
